Kenosis

Greek: “self-emptying” (from Phil 2:7). The divine condescension by which the Son of God emptied himself of glory and took the form of a servant, even to the point of death on the cross. The kenotic pattern shapes the Church’s mission: presence through humility, influence through service, not domination.
