The irreducible uniqueness of every person. In Trinitarian theology, otherness is constitutive of communion rather than opposed to it. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct without division. Likewise, human persons realize their identity not through isolation but through communion that preserves and affirms otherness.
