(Eighth Day)
The day of Resurrection and the day of the Eucharist from the earliest Church. Sunday is called the “eighth day” because it transcends the weekly cycle of seven days, pointing to the age to come—the endless day of the Kingdom. The posture of standing (not kneeling) on Sunday signifies the Church’s already-risen status.
