The sacrament of thanksgiving in which bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ and the Church becomes what she truly is—the Body of Christ, the eschatological community, the foretaste of the Kingdom. The Eucharist is the constitutive act of the Church; it is where she is fully manifested. All ecclesiology flows from it.
