(Theosis)
The ultimate vocation of the human being: to participate by grace in the life of God, becoming “god by grace” though never by nature. Theosis is Christocentric and ecclesial—it occurs through communion with the body and blood of Christ in the Eucharist and in the life of the Church. It is eschatological: humanity is not created perfect but for perfection.
